“Perhaps, we need to be seeking true love from it’s only source instead of being misled to place our hope in Hollywood’s fairytale endings. Perhaps, we need to reevaluate our beliefs that the person standing across from us on the altar actually possesses the ability to achieve his or her task to “complete us”. Perhaps, we need to save ourselves the future regrets of dealing with post-breakup, lustful imagery that could have been avoided had we been more focused on serving the Lord together instead of focusing on satisfying our temporary sexual desires. 1 John 4:7 says, “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.” When your spirit has in fact accepted & comprehended the love of God that was displayed beyond all other events at the scene of the cross, you’ll be convicted. You will be broken. You will feel so abundantly overwhelmed by love, a perfect love, that you will have no other priority or mission then to share it with others. But only until that point & time of becoming knowledgeable of God’s love, will you be able to adequately & appropriately share love to a significant another. Give your everything, every piece of who you are, to Him before you share your heart with someone else. Be sure your foundation, security & identity is rooted with your Creator who loves you more than any woman or man could before you seek a loving, biblically-based relationship.
May your motto always be ‘God first’.
May He be the keeper & holder of your heart first & foremost.”
