Hey y’all. Sorry I am a little late on this post seeing that I have been home for almost a week since returning from Seattle. Better late than never though!
// 271 Days Later //
The day has come to graduate from Serve Seattle, a stepping stone of my faith that has molded me in every inch of my being.
God has demonstrated His nearness to me in a completely new way, building my trust in Him at every valley and mountain top during this past year.
This community has stretched me to learn how to better love and serve my neighbor and for that, I am so grateful.
My capacity for compassion has grown exponentially as well as my hunger to know & comprehend the Word of God.
I’m honored to have served alongside thirty sold out hearts for Christ & I’ll miss them terribly transitioning into the next chapter of life.
I’ll be leaving a chunk of my heart here in Seattle.
I’ll never forget the RELEVANT magazine AD for Serve Seattle that came across my eyes when God impressed upon my heart what was to become my next move.
Thank you from the depths of my heart to each family member, friend, acquaintance and stranger who supported me in my service.
It does not go unnoticed that you followed my journey ever so closely via texts/calls/Skype sessions and the worldwide web and generously sent me financial gifts along the way.
Shout out to all the prayer warriors who remembered me and lifted me up before God with requests for wisdom, strength, discernment, understanding and perseverance.
So here is to graduation, an accomplishment by the sweet grace of God and a testament to His faithfulness and love.
This is my farewell to the city of Seattle.
It has been a pleasure to serve you wholeheartedly for nine beautiful months.
[Oh, and that award I received this morning is entitled “Put A Ring On It”.]
I’ve been voted as the first person to get married after this program. Not sure how I feel about that…….
Congrats Class of 2015!
